Some of you know that I am now a single girl once again. And there is always a certain thing, when dating, that I cant seem to tell people right off. I never had a problem with someone not understanding or is grossed out but I still have a hard time just coming out and saying it. I guess I never know how to approach the subject.

So for anyone out there who is reading this blog and want to get to know me on a more personal note, her is goes.... I am a Type I Diabetic. I have been this way for the past 20 years. I was just a kid. No one in my family has it and they are not really sure how I got it except they think I caught a bad viral infection that cased my pancreas not to work any longer. I wear an insulin pump, that can come off when I am in the shower or doing other naked type activities.

So now you know and I don't have to speak of it any longer. All I ask is...Love me for me.

  1. Thank you for sharing this with us, reina... :)

Now, you know that I don't have to tell you this, but I'm going to anyway just to reinforce the point! ;) There is nothing odd or weird or embarrassing about Type I diabetes - you're a beautiful, creative, amazing woman and I know that you will find someone who will love you for you. :)

  2. My submissive is a Type 1 as well..Oddly enough, she had the same issues with disclosing the information that you had. It isn't a deformity, etc..Just have to be careful with carb counting, the pump is SOOO much better than the old 3 meal shots, and 1 long term shot. During intense sessions, i just pop up every once in awhile to make sure all is well. Its a good thing.... be proud of what you have!!Take care of yourself!!

  3. Personally, I am not familiar with the specifics of diabetes. However, I do know it would never impact how I feel about you as you are such a delightful gal. As Dave indicated, you'd just have to make sure your partner understands all the signs of any issues to be concerned with.
How are you my pet, I've missed you!
