Changing Of A Name

A couple of weeks ago one of the blogs that I follow posted a survey as to what you call your Dom. Recently, I came into a conversation with my Master (that is what I call him) and he asked me to change his name from Master to Daddy. I do not have a problem with this but I was wondering why? Does the name mean something different? Is it he likes the sound of it better? Or is he playing on my submissiveness?

I would love to know your thoughts…

  2. Well, I'm not sure about your Master/Daddy, but as a submissive who uses both of those terms to refer to her Dom, perhaps I can offer some insight! :)

Most of the time, I'll use Daddy and he'll call me his baby girl or his little one. As far as our relationship is concerned, we like this exchange/terminology because it focuses on his position of authority and guidance with an emphasis on protection. Although Master/slave (which we'll use on occasion) also have similar connotations, there's not the same inherent sense of loving and care in these terms (although the love and care is definitely still there!)...

Just my two cents - hope this helps some! :)

    Take care,
    Baby Girl :)

  3. I always love your insight baby girl.

  4. My experience is that my submissive will know Daddy or Step-Daddy (luv that one) or Poppi are more endearing . . Sir/Master is more respectful but I prefer the endearing terms. For me, it reflects her personal connection to me vs. something more of a slave/sub role. I want to see those around us in public react to "daddy" or "step daddy" . . it would definitely bring a smile as I said "yes, baby" in response.
